What time should I get there?

Our service times are above, but we’d love it if you arrived a few minutes early to let us say hello and help you feel welcome!

Where should I park?

There is parking on the side of the building (the entrance side), in back of the building, and near the gym area. Parking closer to the entrance side affords a shorter distance to the entrance to the building.

What should I wear?

Here at Easthaven, members typically wear casual clothes for Wednesday night Bible study–most people wear their work or school clothes. Sunday gatherings are typically more formal. Most men wear suits or a shirt and tie, and the ladies wear dresses, blouses, skirts, etc.

We simply ask that you be covered and modest. We will not judge you if you come in jeans and a T-shirt. We want to have you here.

Where should I go when I get there?

Walk right in! There are three main entrances to our church building, and we request you use one of the ones on the sides of the building, closer to the street. Greeters will be on hand to welcome you and answer any questions you have.

What about my kids?

During Bible class periods on Sundays and Wednesdays, we have classes for all ages. Your kids would be welcome to go to class with kids their age, but they’d be just as welcome to go to class with you and the other adults in the main auditorium. It’s all up to what you and your family are comfortable with.

During worship periods, we all gather together in the main auditorium. However, there is both a nursery/cry room available at the back of the auditorium for parents with young children.

How long do assemblies usually last?

Bible class assemblies usually last about 40 minutes, while worship assemblies usually last about one hour. After Bible class on Wednesday night, we gather together in the auditorium for about 15 minutes of worship and study.

When I think of Easthaven church of Christ, the first thing that comes to mind is home. When I first became a member there what I noticed was how loving, friendly, and faithful they are. You feel like family--they’re encouraging, supportive, and forgiving. That’s what think of my Christian family! I love my family.

Lisa CarterMember at Easthaven

Easthaven is a church that provides spiritual guidance, love, a caring family environment and a warm presence that feeds my soul, but also has a purpose of teaching and reaching towards a spiritual goal.

Family, how family has different personalities and sometimes differences but in the end, we show love for each other and pull together in the right directions doing the right things in difficult times.

Charles ScottMember at Easthaven

When I think about Easthaven, I think about how the church always pulls together in times of need. When you can’t make Sunday worship services or Wednesday night Bible study, the members let you know that they missed you.

Diane CarterMember at Easthaven

Relaxing and comfortable, it is like being at your own home worshipping. We are a Bible church, we are family, and most of all, we are God-fearing.

Meet Our Preachers

Pulpit Minister

Eric Wright

Eric and CaMesha have been married for 17 years, and have 3 children together. Aside from other professional experience, he has been a minister in Churches of Christ for 15 years. He graduated from Olive Branch High School before earning a B.S. in Business Marketing from Strayer University.
Associate Minister

Willie J. Hampton

Unfortunately, Bro. Willie Hampton was a member of the Church of God in Christ until he learned about the one true church. His motto was “On my way, happy but lost.” He was baptized in 1985 under the leadership of the late Bro. Asberry Finley of Holly Springs, Mississippi. Bro. Willie J. Hampton has been a gospel preacher for over twenty years. He later became the minister at South Matubba Street Church of Christ in Aberdeen, Mississippi. He has done various gospel meetings. He is a very unique minister who has a special way of preaching the gospel and spreading God’s word. He enjoys studying his Bible daily, conducting home Bible studies, and fishing.

Bro. Willie Hampton is married to the lovely Kathy Hampton. They have been married for over sixteen years. Together they have seven children and 12 grandchildren who they truly love. All of their children are members of the Lord’s church. Bro. Willie Hampton and his wife Kathy enjoy cooking and entertaining family and friends. One of Bro. Hampton’s favorite bible verses is Philippians 4:13. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Youth Minister

Aaron Lloyd

I grew up in East Haven since I was a little kid; I made friends, had laughs, and grew up under the eye of the congregation. Now I have grown up and I can clearly see the blessings that I received from this place, but the biggest of them all is the will to work for The Lord. Now that I am in the Memphis School of Preaching, I look back and remember the sermons that I did for East Haven, the prayers I led, and the communion I presided over. It is a great thing to be able to serve The Lord, and East Haven has blessed me with that ability greatly. I am now working with the congregation as the youth minister, and I hope to impart the lessons taught to me, to my Youth Group so that they can look back like I do and say “Thank you.”
